We are so excited to announce that our practitioner is now a member of the great family of the College of Registered Manual Osteopaths. The College of Registered Manual Osteopaths (Canada) is based in Thornhill, Ontario. It is registered as a national nonprofit Indigenous organization. CRMO members are awarded the title of Registered Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (ROMP).
Their goal is to protect the profession and the public from those who are not qualified to be known as registered manual osteopaths. The College of Registered Manual Osteopaths ensures only qualified health professionals are eligible to be granted the title of ROMP “Registered Osteopathic Manual Practitioner” . CRMO employees, management team and board members are all Indigenous peoples (First Nation, Métis, Inuit), either through blood or by adoption. CRMO is not registered as a regulatory agency under health regulatory authorities of Canadian provinces. CRMO is doing their best to raise awareness about osteopathy. They are constantly educating the insurance companies about the profession in order to get more insurance companies include and cover osteopathy services in their extended health plans. Right now, and thanks to their efforts lots of insurance companies accept CRMO members as providers. List of Extended health Plans accept claims from CRMO members including but not limited to Pacific Blue Cross, Claim Secure, The Johnston Group, Desjardins, Green Shield Canada, Empire Life, Manulife Financial, Manion, Wilkins & Associates Ltd., Equitable Life and so on.
After successfully taking CRMO’s Written and Practical Board exams, Our practitioner is now allowed to use the title of ROMP.
